Cleone Foods is looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Production team.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting and developing team members, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of your department by:

• Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of Production Operatives
• Allocating resources and delegating work effectively across shifts
• Coaching and training employees to ensure competence and performance
• Monitoring productivity, quality, food safety, and health & safety standards
• Managing employee attendance, return-to-work processes, and day-to-day people matters
• Conducting quality control checks and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately
• Working closely with Supervisors, Managers, and fellow Team Leaders to achieve operational targets
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the factory
• Ensuring all cleaning, hygiene, PPE, and housekeeping standards are maintained
• Conducting effective shift handovers and communicating operational updates

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who has:

• Previous experience in a Team Leader, Line Leader, Supervisor, or similar role within a production/manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
• The ability to train, coach, and develop team members
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Hygiene standards
• Experience working towards productivity and efficiency targets
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when required
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production and packing activities
• Ensure staffing levels are sufficient and resources are deployed effectively
• Monitor team performance and productivity
• Ensure all CCPs, quality procedures, and company policies are followed
• Maintain BRC and food safety standards
• Carry out workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety checks
• Complete and verify production records and departmental documentation
• Coordinate staff breaks and shift rotations
• Identify and escalate machinery, quality, or product safety concerns
• Build positive working relationships across all departments
