Here’s what you’ll be doing
City Energy Solutions (CES) is a rapidly growing business. We generate electricity and provide heat directly to customers homes from our energy centres via our district heating networks. CES is at an exciting and important time in its development, and we are looking for people with enthusiasm and energy to help us build a safe and sustainable business for the future.
This Welder role is based at our Cranbrook/Monkerton site. You will ensure the successful completion of welding activities on our City Energy Solutions Schemes predominantly in the South West, however, there may be short term periods of traveling to other developments across our portfolio. You’ll assist the Site Manager to ensure that the welding is delivered in accordance with the specification whilst maintaining the highest safety, health, environmental and technical quality standards. You’ll alos need to ensure that each project achieves the required design, specifications and complies with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Weld all necessary joints to E.ON specification.
Assist the Site Manager in preparing short term look-ahead welding reviews in accordance with the project plan.
Ensure that the welding is delivered to the design specification as well as relevant legislation and to the highest standards of quality and safety, health and environmental norms by both external and internal service providers (ESPs and ISPs).
Provide technical support to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the welding.
Maintain accurate welding inspection records for progress, quality and safety, health and environmental requirements.
Record and identify problem areas or complaints and carry out agreed actions.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with developers, ESPs and ISPs.
Attend welding progress and quality meetings as well as recording and monitoring actions, where required.
