We are currently hiring for a transport and contracts manager- based in Preston. Previous experience in the logistics industry is required- specifically in packages/shipping. Brief Job Description- You would lead 3rd Party and Transport Operations to ensure cost-effective, legally compliant goods transportation with a focus on high service levels. Responsibilities include leading operational teams, developing business continuity plans, monitoring performance, and fostering a cost-conscious culture. Requirements: knowledge of government regulations, transport industry experience, proven leadership skills, IOSH Managing Staff Safely or equivalent, Transport Manager CPC, a full UK driving license, organizational skills, and a track record of achieving KPIs. Responsible for managing £2.5 million in indirect costs while maintaining service levels above 98% for next-day delivery, with key stakeholders including transport and 3rd party contractors, warehouse management teams, and customer service and sales teams
