Shop Assistant – Shoe Repairer / Cobbler / Key Cutter Saffron Walden CB10 Full Time £20,000-£28,000 depending on experience and skills 28 days holiday (inc. bank holidays) Good career prospects Our client is a local family-run business, offering Locksmith & security services to business and residential customers throughout our local areas. The company began trading in 1986 and is experienced in the Security business. They are recognised as an approved company by the MLA (Master Locksmith Association) and have been a member since 1989. They are also an SSAIB-approved company (Certification for Security Service Systems Provider). Our client has 3 retail shops locally around Essex and Hertfordshire. You will be based at the company s Saffron Walden branch, but there are other opportunities available; mainly in Bishop s Stortford. Salary: Trainee Circa £20,000 – £22,000 per year, with great career prospects Experienced Up to £28,000 per year depending on experience & skills What will your role as a Shoe Repairer/Cobbler look like? Shoe repairs Use relevant machinery and tools to repair shoes Duplicating keys/ vehicle Transponder and replacement Remotes devices. Engraving/Watch battery and strap replacement etc Other duties which may be reasonably required from time to time by company managers Are you the right person for the job? Primarily you will work as a shoe repairer, but will be expected to learn about other aspects to the business Excellent customer service skills and a good telephone manner and smart appearance. Confidence with using computers Ideally you will have some knowledge of keys and engraving, however, this is not essential but would need a willingness to learn and increase your bench locksmithing skills.
