The Technical Author will work alongside the Engineering teams, to oversee the creation, digitisation, and standardisation of all technology related information across the full product lifecycle.
You will review how documentation is created and managed across multiple product lines and implement a roadmap for standardisation. Additionally, you’ll attend the workshop to watch first product build and consult with Engineers to create high-quality documentation.

Role Scope

• Work with Engineering product lines to create a documentation strategy, ensuring we have high quality templates for product, product development and product commercialisation.
• Provide technical authoring support and guidance, to develop standardised process for new document generation for the wider team to follow.
• Lead the generation of technical documentation for new products
• Manage industry specifications, working with stakeholders across the business to ensure the Engineering functions is aligned to latest revisions, communicating updates as necessary.
• Monitor and communicate engineering metrics via Teams and Sharepoint .

Minimum Job Qualifications

• Experience within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment. An understanding of the product development cycle and how a typical product is constructed.
• Experience working within technical documentation creation and management. If you’ve worked with Sharepoint and on digitisation projects, that would be a plus.
• Strategic thinker, and an ability to implement processes
• Strong communication and influencing skills, as you’ll be working with senior internal stakeholders.
• Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
