We’re thrilled to be seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Planner to join our client, a leading catering supplies company in Hertfordshire as a pivotal asset in optimising operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Role Highlights:In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Supply Chain, driving the seamless management of materials to ensure impeccable customer service and waste reduction. Your responsibilities will include: Aligning with the planning and forecasting strategy. Skilled management of material stocks, including purchasing decisions based on forecasts, lead times, and more. Strategically sourcing raw materials through approved supply chains. Analysing and managing demand changes while minimizing stock impact. Providing insightful reports for identifying at-risk materials and linking them to specific SKUs. Adapting plans in response to changing circumstances. Balancing waste reduction, shelf-life extensions, and customer lead times. Collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Sales, Operations, Logistics and Quality teams. Previous experience in a supply chain environment, preferably within the FMCG sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong data presentation skills. A passion for ownership and pride in contributing to company success. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. Effective teamwork and time-management capabilities. Superb interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent multitasking skills while maintaining an eye for detail. A knack for accurate numerical reporting and organizational prowess. The ability to thrive under pressure and navigate within processes and KPIs. Experience with negotiation and an understanding of FMCG environments.Flexible Working Hours:With a 40-hour workweek, you’ll enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule, complemented by a flexible approach to accommodate departmental coverage from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
