Sterile Service Technician – Day and Night Rotation
Full Time – Permanent

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across the Southeast of England. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.
We have an opportunity for a Technician/Trainee Technician to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department in our St Albans Unit.
This is a Full Time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. 5 out of 7 shifts per week.
Trainee roles are also available.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
Experience is desirable but not essential as an in-house training programme is in place which is supported by external training as required.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of equipment cleaning, decontamination and sterilization procedures
Duties of this role include:
To provide a first-class decontamination service to operating departments, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments
To assist in providing a first-class Endoscopy decontamination service to the operating departments, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments
To assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment, Endoscopes and sundry items for the customer
To maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders
To promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department
To ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained in working areas.
To ensure processes are followed as directed by the Senior Staff and in accordance with policies and procedures
To drive on delivery and collections to and from hospitals if required
