What We’re Looking For
Experience & Knowledge
? 3+ years in customs compliance, logistics, trade facilitation, or supply chain management.
? Expertise in UK and EU customs regulations, including Northern Ireland Protocol and Brexit-related changes.
? Hands-on experience with customs management systems (ThymeIT, Descartes, ASM Sequoia, CargoWise, SAP GTS, or similar).
? Familiarity with AEO accreditation, CFSP, IPR/OPR, TSS, and T1 procedures is highly desirable.
Skills & Attributes
? Strong leadership & mentoring skills – Ability to manage and develop a customs team.
? Exceptional organisational & problem-solving abilities – Ability to identify risks, troubleshoot customs issues, and implement solutions.
? Excellent communication & stakeholder management – Confidently liaise with HMRC, Border Force, suppliers, and internal teams.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Strong skills in Excel, Word, and data analysis tools.
Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required)
? Diploma in Customs Compliance, International Trade, or Supply Chain Management.
? Membership with Institute of Export & International Trade (IoE&IT) or a related professional body.
? Customs Authorisations & Certifications (AEO, CFSP, or Brexit Compliance) would be a plus.
