SP Renewables are looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to join their EA3 project based in either London or Glasgow. Role: Senior Contract Manager – Offshore Installation Business: Scottish Power Renewables Project: East Anglia Three Duration: Initial contract until 31st Dec 2023, which will renew in line with the project running up to 2027 Rate: Inside IR35, Umb and PAYE options available Location: Either Tudor Street London, or St Vincent Street Glasgow/hybrid style working The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a Contract Manager, PM, or PE within the renewables industry Main Purpose of Job

• As a senior role within ScottishPower Renewables, the Senior Contract Manager is responsible for developing and managing contracts within the Offshore Business.
• The Senior Contract Manager will drive contract strategies, sourcing, negotiating and managing large offshore contracts.
• The individual will be accountable for identifying and mitigating contractual and commercial risks while seeking to optimize and drive the performance of the Foundations and IAC installation major contracts (FIC).
• The individual will be working as part of a business with several global activities, which may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK and overseas. The role demands coordination with multidisciplinary teams and teams working at different project locations.

Key Tasks

• Managing and administering, the FTI in place with the supplier, including but not limited to claims, variations and contract amendments.
• Monitoring and anticipating claims made by the contractor under the agreement and assisting in developing mitigation strategies in line with the terms.
• Supporting in preparing notes of advice and commercial drafting on claims and variations.
• Undertaking detailed contract reviews, anticipating contractual and commercial risks, opportunities and threats to the project, and implementing mitigation measures.
• Scheduling and arranging internal review meetings, negotiation meetings with the supplier, taking notes, issuing internal and/or external minutes, reporting and tracking the status of contract status, and maintaining the contract management tracker and the documentation up to date.
• Monitoring budget and expenditures.
• Assisting in the day-by-day management and administration of FTI from effective date for the full term

Key Criteria

• Candidates will have offshore wind experience, familiarity with management approaches in the offshore environment, and cultural awareness.
• To be successful in this role, you should have:
• A degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering disciplines or commercially orientated qualification.
• Experience as project manager, project engineer or contract manager, within renewables sector, for a minimum of 10 years
• Experience in contract management, within offshore business preferably in the logistics and offshore operations, for a minimum of 5 years
• The ability to manage your own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, while producing high-quality results in demanding timeframes.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written.
• A good understanding of wind farm construction activities and the contractual implications.
• IT literacy, with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other project management software.
• Flexibility to travel.
