Job Title: Senior Business and Engagement Officer

Location: Westminster, London

Contract Duration: 3 Months

Hourly Rate: 30

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to joina local authority a Senior Business and Engagement Officer for a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is based in Westminster, London, and offers a competitive hourly rate of 30.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support to I&C Senior Management Team:

• Provide a first-class support service to the I&C Senior Management Team.
• Undertake necessary preparation for meetings, including preparing and distributing materials.
• Ensure all meeting materials are up-to-date and readily accessible.

2. Diary Control and Meeting Coordination:

• Co-ordinate and schedule internal and external meetings, maintaining highly effective diary control.
• Ensure seamless organisation of meetings, including booking venues and coordinating logistics.

3. Leadership in Engagement:

• Lead on engagement initiatives aligned with the vision and priorities of the directorate.
• Challenge and review delivery and engagement methods, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.

4. Programme Development and Delivery:

• Develop and deliver a program of inter-related projects and initiatives.
• Focus on establishing or enhancing leadership, management, empowered culture, relationships, and reputation within the directorate.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a local authority setting.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive continuous improvement.
