Opportunities to grow and develop Given our rapid growth, we have recently introduced centralized learning and development function (L&D) within the HR department, equipping our employees with the tools they need to navigate the company and their roles and become even more well-rounded professionals. As a Sales Learning & Development Partner you will provide intellectual and administrative support to drive the learning, growth, performance, and engagement of our commercial teams, including, but not limited to, our business development and account management functions. You will drive a culture of continuous professional development around GlobalData’s values of curiosity, connectivity, courage, and all related behaviors. You must be comfortable and energized working with any level of employee or manager in any region and have empathy for their growth, development, performance, and role in delivering the company’s ambitious commercial goals. While you’ll predominantly focus on all things related to our sales team’s formal education and performance on our products, systems, and sales skills, you’ll also have exposure to wider talent management, employee wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Responsibilities Defining and assessing sales talent for recruitment – Help develop and maintain the career architecture, KPIs and competency frameworks for our commercial, client-facing functions. – Work in collaboration with our inhouse recruitment team to create and support the global recruitment process for high-performing commercial colleagues. This includes marketing of the company, the roles and talent assessment processes and reviews. Talent onboarding and career knowledge – Work with our recruitment and operational teams to ensure smooth enrolment and onboarding for new starters in our commercial sales functions. This includes the production of learning resources and the scheduling and delivery of onboarding and induction sessions and activities. – Work with recruitment, HR advisors and sales managers to ensure all employees have detailed role profiles and access to functional competency frameworks, performance milestones, training paths and the tec and information resources they need for their job. Curriculum and content production and promotion – Work with sales managers, internal subject matter experts, product owners and external vendors to help research, scope and develop GlobalData sales course curriculum and content. This includes refining and formalizing existing sessions. Our main pillars of training are: Product training, Systems/tec training and Sales competencies. – Supplement and support this curriculum by personally delivering training to our sales functions in selected areas of expertise. Some of this ability will come over time as you develop company, client, product, and system knowledge. – Produce and deliver of high-quality GlobalData custom training materials (presentation packs, recordings, video). Upload onto e-learning platforms where relevant. – Liaise with product marketing, product owners, sales operations and owners of sales enablement technology to integrate their critical educational content into our L&D programs. – Review and refine the recommended and compulsory courses, career paths and collections aligned with GlobalData sales career paths. – Produce and administer email campaigns to promote L&D content and initiatives to target groups and to support corporate initiatives and one-off campaigns. – Ensure GlobalData s L&D function and sales activities align with other HR talent management initiatives such as KPIs and employee performance evaluations. Work with HR reps and managers to support specific employees and drive performance improvement where learning can have a meaningful impact. Projects and central L&D setup – Own and deliver ad hoc tasks on L&D projects and initiatives as distributed by Head of L&D. There is a business-as-usual elements to the role but also a strong project and change element as we create new business improvement processes. – Over time assist with the development of centralized on-the-job learning interventions such as buddy schemes and mentoring programs, as well as a management program. Admin and reporting – Maintain (with your L&D colleagues) a catalogue of formal sales learning support available at GlobalData, including training led by internal experts, product training, courses from external providers (often via e-learning providers), workshop sessions and external speaker sessions. – Track and report training participation, including session attendance and e-learning completion. Manage accreditation. – Manage L&D email correspondence from internal and external sources. – Support the Head of L&D and divisional managers with logistics for information and training sessions such as; room bookings, Zoom setup, delegate lists, joining instructions, feedback collation, and project planning. Manage communications with external suppliers and occasional external speakers.
