Search Logistics is recruiting a Freight Forwarder to join one of their clients in the Purfleet area.

This Opportunity will best suit an experienced individual who has a background in Export / Import and dealing with the Clearance of goods by Ocean, Air or road Freight (multimodal).

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage Road freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and other relevant parties to gather necessary shipment information and documentation.
• Prepare and process Haulage documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs clearance documents.
• Arrange booking of cargo with Haulagers , negotiate rates, and secure required space on vessels.
• Track and monitor shipments, proactively identifying any potential delays or issues and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance.
• Manage and resolve any shipment-related discrepancies, disputes, or claims.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update relevant systems or databases.
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries and providing shipment status updates.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to ocean freight forwarding.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials shipping regulations
• Previous experience in Road freight coordination or related roles within the freight forwarding industry.
