Role Description

• Manage the maintenance repairs and renewals of Cold Store and Air Con and Vehicle Refrigeration for AMS in an effective and timely manner
• breakdown repairs and regular PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) of all machinery and fabrication
• Working on ‘call out’ cover system to enable the factory to have 24 hour maintenance cover
• To service, repair and renew electrics, evaporators, compressors, evaporators & condensers.
• Manage and maintain gas reclamation. Site management of ‘F’ gas regulations.
• To manage refrigeration contracts
• To manage and control refrigeration contractors
• Primary diagnosis of fault and leak finding – braising and re-gassing
• To work as part of the engineering team on all aspects of APM electrical engineer works around engineering facility
• Update and maintain the schedule, completing daily job sheets and conducting walk arounds and visual inspections
• Breakdown and repairs on the following Mechanical, Electrical where permitted and plumbing
• To work with new systems installations such as electrical installations, cable routing, non electrician work, Mechanical installations, pipework around factory, paperwork checks and logistics.
• Participate in the energy management system
• Check sampling equipment
• Cold rooms running to correct temperatures & settings
• Actively monitor and challenge water usage & wastage
• Participate in, on the job training
• Attend all H&S and business-related course & briefings

Skills and Qualifications

• Refrigeration engineering qualification
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems and associated electrical systems
• Effective Communication Skills between all levels within the business
• Working towards or has 18th edition electrical qualification
• Time Management – ability to work to set deadlines
• Understanding of the ‘Permit to work’ system
• Driving Licence (clean/current)
• Ability to work as part of a team and also confident / competent to work on own
• Microsoft Office Skills (Excel & Word proficient), Outlook Express (Task and Diary management),
• Understanding of Bulgarian Language – desirable
• Previously worked in food manufacturing environment – desirable
• Knowledge of PLC unit – desirable
