Mayday Personnel Services is the a leading specialist temporary transport, logistics and commercial recruiter, which has been serving the Southampton area for over 40 years.

As part of our continued development, we are currently recruiting for an Recruitment Consultant for our Southampton office.

This opportunity is a pivotal role and as such you will be responsible for growing revenue in line with year on year targets. This is a 360 recruiter opportunity, working on a hot desk to develop business and bring on new clients in addition to servicing existing clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in recruitment with proven ability to grow and manage their own desk.

Main Duties:

Growing the existing client base

Proactively developing client relationships over the phone and face-to-face meetings

Recruiting and placing candidates

Competitor analysis

Business development including cold calling new Clients

The ideal person will be:

Enthusiastic team player with a drive to succeed

Target driven and able to motivate other team members

Proven track record in B2B sales within the recruitment sector

Strong partnership and relationship building style with clients

Self-motivated, with the ability to work proactively on own initiative as well as within a close knit team

A good knowledge of the local target market

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Excellent time management and organisational abilities

A full driving licence is essential for this role.
