Purchasing Manager

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire

Salary: £50-55,000 + benefits

To support our Client’s growth, we are recruiting for a Purchasing Manager to support their current business and imminent growth strategy. Managing a small team, you will be a natural coach with the ability to develop your team to their full potential, whilst being able to deliver the key objectives of the role in purchasing and planning.

The role:

• Manage a team to effectively deliver all purchasing requirements, budgets and agreed strategies.
• Manage the stores and logistics at NRM sites.
• Support the NRM sites and manage all stock replenishment requirements.
• Regularly communicate with key stakeholders to ensure all purchasing needs are met.
• Oversee and monitor purchase order placement, receipting of goods and achieving delivery targets.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships for goods and services.
• Identify cost saving opportunities across goods and services.
• Provide training and support to your team.
• Agree objectives with team members to maximise engagement and development of individuals.

The person:

• Ideally CIPS qualified, or working towards
• Sound knowledge of the purchasing process cycle.
• IT literate, with particular emphasis on Excel analysis skills.
• Strong initiative and business mindset.
• Strong negotiations and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail
• Experience of working in a purchasing management role
• Experience of managing a small team
