If so, we are on the lookout for 2 x Purchasing Assistants to join our client based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, for initial 6 month contracts, but with a good chance of becoming permanent after the initial contract duration.
Reporting into the Lead Buyer, and working within a hard working, efficient team of 8 people, this is an excellent opportunity for someone to really take the next step in their career.
Our client requires the individuals to be working 37.5 hours per week in the office, and can offer shifts starting between 07.30-09.30, & finishing between 16.30-18.30 an early finish is also possible on a Friday, as long as you have done the required hours for the week.
Some key responsibilities:
â Monitor and expedite late Purchase and Works Orders. Liaise closely with the planning department for all items that will not meet the requirements of the Production Schedule and provide solutions as necessary
â Support with the resolution of invoices pending payment in a timely manner, by performing detailed analysis to identify root cause of issue prohibiting invoice payment
â Review Traceability Number requests and issue numbers to suppliers
â Review tender requests and present information to Buyers with recommended order placement
â Proactively monitor supplier performance and develop vendors to improve on-time delivery, product quality and reduce lead-times
â Assist inventory control, when required, with any queries in goods receiving
â Undertake vendor analysis and selection along with identifying and establish supply agreements to the benefit the organization
â Update procedures, work instructions and manuals as per requirements
â Participate in meetings and keep up to date on issues related to Purchase Order delivery, vendor performance, Metrics, capacity constraints and other related Supply Chain issues
â Represent the organization in a responsible and professional manner
â Engage in any other activities as requested by the Lead Buyer
