Comprising of Anglian Water, Morrison Utility Services, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance work together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base, typically totalling £50-60m per year.
With hundreds of projects across the region and the need to deliver customer satisfaction within the water industry at the highest it has ever been, how we manage and execute projects has never been under as much scrutiny as now.
To ensure a dedicated and expert sole focus on delivery of projects and programmes of work which reduces or removes Operation Risk is achieved, we are looking for a talented Project Technician to join us, focusing on Water projects!
What will you be doing as our new Project Technician?
Working with the AW Non-Infra Data team and the Infra Data team, this role is focused upon gathering data for Project Delivery Managers and Project Engineers at Delivery Milestone 1 through SAP interrogation and site surveys and at Delivery Milestone 4 for Schemes outputs and Deliverables. This information is essential to efficient and effective operations and maintenance of Water and Water Recycling sites and increasing the quality of asset data and equipment records held in SAP and on GNET.
Key responsibilities:
Work with the Project Engineers to compile the asset register records when a design evaluation is requested.
Extract existing SAP asset and equipment records for reactive delivery of non infra work
Extract existing GNET records for reactive delivery of infra work
Identify (with Asset Data Analysts) the equipment groups and functional locations in SAP that drive maintenance/investment which have poor asset data quality in need of further data capture.
Source all appropriate and required equipment information from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as product and equipment data sheets and specifications
Identify incorrectly set up plant items and equipment group item (EGI) combinations in SAP which allocate inappropriate maintenance for proactively correction
Complete and comply with all operational site H&S requirements to ensure safe working practices

You’ll need to respond in an energetic and positive manner to internal customer and stakeholder needs. It will be essential that you share your knowledge, skills and information with others to form best practices. In addition to this you will be required to take personal responsibility to understand the systems and technology required of the role and to share impart this knowledge to others.
Precise and accurate data entry with meticulous attention to detail is essential as well as understanding the importance of this role on the success of the team and the company.
