GlobalUpholstery Solutions is a leading manufacturer of high-qualityupholstered components. The components are used in a variety ofindustries. Including automotive, office, and healthcare. Part ofthe Stannah Group, Global Upholstery Solutions are in Andover,Hampshire.

The Production SupportManager will manage andimprove our production process for sewn and upholstered products.The Production Support Manager will be responsible for ensuringthat our products meet high-quality standards and that productionoperations run smoothly, efficiently and are continuouslyimproved.

We’re seeking an individual whoembodies a results-driven mindset, emphasizing the pursuit ofcontinuous improvement. Additionally, a safety-first approach isimperative, underscoring your commitment to the safety of ourbusiness operations.

You will be confident incontinuous Improvement tools and techniques such as 5S, TPM,Kaizen, Poka Yoke, Flow and Value Streamdevelopment.

The ideal candidate will possess abackground in production support management, ideally within thecontext of a sewn and upholstered products manufacturingenvironment.

Responsibilities:

• Toestablish and document standardised production processes to ensurethat products are manufactured efficiently meeting the specifiedquality standards
• Develop, document andimplement production support policies and procedures to maximiseproduction efficiencies by utilising Continuous Improvementtechniques
• Identify and support projects andinitiatives which improve our Health, Safety, Welfare andEnvironmental performance
• Develop and maintainrelationships with the internal Buying and Material Controlfunctions to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials tothe production cells
• Implement and maintain anISO9000 compliant quality assurance program for Production Supportoperations
• Establish quality control andassurance protocols in accordance with ISO9000, with proceduresestablished to identify, problem solve and permanently eliminateproduction problems
• In conjunction with theProduction Manager, oversee the production team to ensure theirefforts are aligned with production support and departmentalgoals
• Establish and monitor production metrics,analysing data to identify areas for improvement, i.e., labourefficiencies, waste elimination, scrap reduction, processeffectiveness improvements, cost reductionsetc.
• Lead cross-functional improvement andprocess development initiatives with Production, Design, Sales /Business Development, Change Management, Supply Chain / Logisticsand departmental Quality Assurance representatives to ensureproduction goals are aligned with company objectives andstrategies
• Identify process / productionimprovement projects, including CAPEX, for inclusion in the annualdepartmental cost-reduction programme
• Developand manage budgets for production supportactivities

Requirements

• 5+years of experience in production support management, preferably ina sewn and upholstered products manufacturingenvironment
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvementtools and techniques (e.g., 5S, TPM, Kaizen, Poka Yoke, Flow, ValueStream development)
• Demonstratable evidence ofthe successful implementation of continuous improvement techniqueswith bottom line business benefits
• Strongleadership and team management skills
• Excellentinterpersonal and communicationskills
• Excellent problem-solving and analyticalskills
