I am recruiting for a Production Shift Manager for an industry leading manufacturer with quality truly at the heart of what they do. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company truly committed to the development of their staff as they continue to grow on a global scale.

As a Production Shift Manager, you’ll be at the heart of their manufacturing excellence. Working on a morning/afternoon shift rotation, you’ll collaborate with other shift managers, report directly to the Manufacturing Director, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their factory operations.

Responsibilities

• Harness your leadership prowess to foster a positive culture and drive employee engagement.
• Oversee resource allocation between departments, ensuring efficient and effective utilization to meet delivery requirements.
• Champion product quality control and maintain meticulous production records.
• Promote and nurture a safe work environment, adhering to environmental, health, safety legislation, and ISO standards.
• Dive into data to prepare reports on shift performance against operating objectives.
• Tackle manufacturing challenges head-on with root cause analysis, driving performance improvement.
• Deliver constructive feedback based on performance reviews, promoting operational excellence.

What you will have:

• Proven leadership experience with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
• A track record of at least 5 years in manufacturing environments (factory, plant, warehouse, etc.).
• An innate ability to inspire and motivate teams, driving them towards delivering exceptional results.
• Adept at technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication, both verbal and written.
• Masterful time management, presentation skills, and strong analytical abilities.
• Resource planning and materials handling experience, with a knack for driving continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Sage X3.
• Evidence of improving production processes and implementing change to enhance performance.
• Bachelor’s degree, certification, or equivalent Level 5 qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.

Salary £45,000 – £52,000pa
