As the Housing Production Manager you will have full responsibility for the people, procedures and processes within the Department. Managing, motivating and engaging the Teams to meet business targets. Set the example by creating a positive and respectful environment within the Team based upon the Company Values and Behaviours.

• Act as an interface between the team and others in the business
• Clear delivery of key messages to the team (including explanation of any goals, plans and roles)
• Regularly reporting both to own team and upwards to their line manager
• Manage recruitment with the assistance of HR
• Ensure a successful induction process for new starters
• Clearly communicate required tasks, agree deadline and monitor achievement – set and agree SMART objectives for individuals/team and monitor performance against these
• Responsible for HSE compliance and improvement activities for the Team
• Overall responsibility for all Housing Production Teams
• Responsible for production output, scrap and on-time delivery for Team
• Responsibility for production planning, prioritisation and organisation of work
• Advising on and escalating machine and process problems
• Responsibility for logistics of finished product release and transfer to Despatch
• Responsible for first line machine & vehicle maintenance
• Quality system conformance and management
• Adherence and compliance to ISO standards

To be successful in this role of Housing Production Manager we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

• Experience in a Medium to Large manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable Management experience
• A technical qualification in an engineering or business discipline
• Experience in a metal work manufacturing environment
