Operations Manager Location: Hartlepool Salary: Negotiable / bonus Type: Permanent Hours: 40 hours Mon – Fri Imperial Professionals are currently recruiting exclusively for a high-profile global client who are looking to appoint an Operations Manager for their Hartlepool site. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver the White End environmental, health and safety, outbound logistics, production, quality, indirect and direct cost targets to meet business objectives and blue chips. Identify and quantify EHS and PSM risks to safe operations and develop clear mitigation plans to meet requirements set by key stakeholders both on and off site and internal and external. Implement operating and maintenance practices and governance processes to ensure compliance with legislation and corporate standards to maintain license to operate. Lead, motivate, and develop the White End operations, maintenance, and inbound logistics teams to work efficiently, effectively and collaboratively to deliver required performance. Collaborate with and influence the ICON Operations Manager and Site Engineering manager to ensure operational and functional decisions are geared towards maximising overall site performance. Contribute to the development and implementation of the site manufacturing strategy, improvement and capital expenditure plans to drive site performance as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Lead, inspire and sustain a positive values-based culture, that drives high performance and promotes the implementation of best practice as a member of the site Senior Leadership Team. Act as the senior duty manager and site main controller. Lead multiple unit operations including site services, logistics (including warehouse), site eco-products and all process liquid and solid waste handling facilities. Collaborate closely with sales and operations planning teams to optimise S&OP plan to meet business requirements. Requirements: Minimum degree qualified in an appropriate discipline e.g., Chemical Engineering or a manufacturing related engineering subject. Minimum 10 – 15 years experience in engineering/operational leadership roles within the complex process and manufacturing industries. A background in high hazard industrial environments (Upper Tier COMAH assets) is desirable. Member of a professional institution with chartered status preferable. Proven track record of leading large and medium sized organisation through periods of intense change and cultural strengthening.
