We are recruiting for a proactive and motivated Operations Manager to join a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical and mechanical products.

Celebrating 75 years, this Watford based company is looking for someone to own the delivery of all operational services within the business including Finance, HR, Internal Sales, Administration, IT, Facilities, Warehouse and Legal.

Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:

• Financial reporting including cost control, cashflow, business and product group profitability and forecasting
• Commercial analysis and recommendations
• Transactional finance processes including payroll
• HR procedures including recruiting and reviewing contracts
• Management of workflow and response times of internal sales and customer service teams
• Management of Warehouse Operations in conjunction with warehouse supervisors
• IT Project Management including costs and IT solutions
• Regulatory compliance & certification
• Managing health and safety processes ensuring all in line with regulations
• Working with facilities manager to ensure standards reflect engineering environment
• Legal, compliance & contractual processes and paperwork up to date

For this Operations Manager role the employer is looking for:

• Substantial experience, including financial experience, in a company of similar size
• Exposure to HR procedures
• Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
• Fluent English for Business and Law
• Hands on self-starter with can do attitude
• Passion to make a measurable impact
• Natural desire to learn and develop as well as direct and motivate others
• Ability and desire to look for continuous improvement opportunities
