Working hours – Sunday to Thursday 21.30 – 06.30

Our client based in Sittingbourne have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor.

In this role, you will be covering the night shift from 2130 – 0630, Sunday to Thursday. You will be responsible for a small picking and loading team as well as planning routes for up to 15 vehicles and creating pick and load sheets for the shift and finalising route invoices ready for the drivers. You’ll be reporting to the Operations Manager. It would suit an ambitious, hands-on individual who is now seeking the next step in their career.

Position Overview:

• Transport / route planning (a good geographical understanding of the Kent area is required to fulfil this task)
• Supervising and delegating tasks to warehouse operatives.
• Overseeing operations in the warehouse.
• Operating lifting equipment including forklift trucks
• Preparing stock ready for dispatch to the customer
• Managing staff rotas, holidays, and absenteeism
• Using Microsoft packages including Office and Excel

The successful candidate must have:

• Proven background in a Supervisor/Team leader role
• Transport CPC would be beneficial but not essential
• A Forklift Truck (FLT) License is desired
• Track Record of working to tight deadlines
• Good team-leadership skills
• Strong communication skills
• Organised and a methodical approach
