Maintenance Surveyor (£41,693 – £45,862 per-annum, full-time, permanent)
Job Role
As a Maintenance Surveyor you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents by ensuring that our homes meet the necessary standards.
You will carry out thorough technical assessments on a range of defects and issues including damp and mould, recommending appropriate maintenance and repair solutions, and ensuring these are completed in a timely manner and to a good standard. You will also carry out disrepair inspections.
You will play a key role in protecting West Kent’s interests by producing accurate and timely reports and ensuring identified issues are resolved on time, within budget and to the required standard. As part of the role, you will be required to liaise with specialists and insurers as required on structural works and other claims and manage these through works stage and completion of the claim, ensuring the Associations losses are mitigated. You may also be required to attend Court from time to time.
You will need to be highly organised with excellent communication skills and to provide customers with clear, accurate and timely information, consider their individual needs and ensure the receive a positive experience.
Excellent knowledge of construction is essential including building defects and regulations, preferably to degree level, together with sound knowledge of the CDM Regulations and the ability to analyse technical information.
