AAK Hull AAK Hull is located in the heart of an area enjoying significant redevelopment and investment. At our recently upgraded site at King George Dock we operate the UK s largest refinery for edible oils and fats. We supply businesses in the sectors of food manufacturing, baking, foodservice and retail, and we work closely with customers to co-develop bespoke products. About the role AAK are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Planner to join the Maintenance team at Site Hull. This is a Monday to Friday, days role and will report into the Reliability Engineer. The Maintenance Administrator will report into the Maintenance Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning of all maintenance work performed on site. The maintenance planner will be responsible for specifying what work needs to be done with what parts, materials, tools, equipment, and making sure these are available. They will also be responsible for how the work should be completed, examining the jobs to be completed and determine the best way to accomplish the work. Responsibilities Maintain appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results or completed work. Responsible for reviewing work orders to ensure they have been filled out fully, accurately, and realistically and communicate feedback to the relevant department. As well as reviewing all completed work orders for completeness and accuracy – updating machinery history data in the CMMS as required and keeping Bill of Material (BOM) up to date. Estimate the cost of work orders in terms of direct labour, materials required and total cost. Identifies and obtains (requisitions, orders, kits as appropriate and in keeping with procedures) materials, special tools and equipment necessary to complete the work. Determines if critical items are in stock by verifying availability with stores. Maintain backlog files of work orders waiting scheduling in accordance with their priority limits with an estimated completion date and develop a file of standard work orders for regularly recurring repair jobs Develops and maintains planned and predictive maintenance procedures as required. Examines jobs to be completed and determines best way to accomplish the work, consulting with the requester or Maintenance Scheduler when necessary. Work closely with the Maintenance Scheduler to review the actual labour expended versus estimated labour and material used for completed jobs. About you Able to demonstrate a strong and consistent PDP history. Time served in one of the engineering disciplines e.g mechanical (preferred), electrical/automation. Supervision of day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance would be desirable but not essential Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent administrative and mathematical skills together with a willingness and ability to organise and process paperwork Possess a personal style and level of capability that will command respect within both maintenance and operating organisations. Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. In return AAK offer: 10% non-contribution pension.
