Maintenance Engineer – Nights Wisbech

Your new company
Greencore is a leading producer of convenience foods who supply a wide range of chilled, frozen and ambient foods to all of the UKs food retailers, with everything from cooking sauces and pickles to sandwiches and ready meals. The Wisbech site specifically manufactures premium chilled ready to cook meals for major some of the biggest UK retailers and are now in a position to take on two Maintenance Engineers to join their team.

Your new role
As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to work a 4 on 4 off 12 hour permanent night shift. You will be responsible for carrying out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise reliability and performance and minimise downtime. Working within a food environment, you will be expected to comply with food safety standards and controls, ensuring work is carried out correctly and safely completing all necessary documentation accurately and audit ready.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will hold an engineering specific accredited apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and have experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment, with the ability to showcase sound electrical and mechanical fault finding abilities. Previous experience within a food or FMCG environment is desirable but not essential.
