WHAT YOU LL DO
Position Overview

You will sit within the LAB Internal Communications and Engagement team helping to drive internal communication programs that inform and delight BCGers and bring the commercial and people strategy to life across London, Amsterdam and Brussels (LAB) offices.
Together with the team, you will be responsible for developing and executing internal communication strategies that strengthen employee engagement, promote company values, and enhance overall organizational culture. You will work closely with various departments and networks to ensure consistent and effective communication across the LAB system.
As a proven quick thinker and exemplary communicator, you will cut through complexity to create informative and impactful content and experiences. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing employee communication, satisfaction, and overall engagement.

What will you do

As a successful candidate, you will take on responsibilities including:

• Create and curate an annual calendar of communications and engagement opportunities that effectively communicate key themes and messages, taking into consideration the key milestones and objectives of stakeholder groups.
• Execute the above employee engagement initiatives, working alongside the operations team to deliver internal engagements and events that we put on for staff at BCG. This will include liaising with the Ops team on what is required from a logistics and tech standpoint. You will also feed into the agenda and content for these engagements a support project managing them alongside your Manager.
• Create engaging and informative content for various internal communication channels, including newsletters, emails, Slacks and presentations, including strong drafts of written communications for senior leadership.
• Operate at air traffic control across all comms channels to ensure cut through and clarity, and improve channel efficacy and processes as you go. You will also be responsible for channel management, regularly reviewing channels of communication to ensure that the communication we send out is relevant.
• Act as an expert to support our internal functions and network in their day-to-day communications, and ensure consistent messaging and branding across all functions and networks.
• Support the development and delivery of training sessions for employees and managers on effective communication practices and engagement techniques.
• Coordinate the employee recognition programs to celebrate achievements and promote a positive workplace culture.
• With the team, work to streamline our internal processes and improve ways of working that increase efficiency, and make space for higher quality, bigger impact and creativity.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internal communication and engagement, collect and analyze feedback from employees and use it to continuously improve internal communication strategies and initiatives. Provide regular reports to leadership.
• Benchmark our internal communication and engagement practices against industry standards and best practices. Analyze the results and identify areas for improvement and innovation.

YOU RE GOOD AT

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential. The coordinator must be able to craft clear, concise, and engaging messages for various communication channels. Meticulous attention to detail, especially in content creation and proofreading.
• Proficiency in creating various forms of content, such as newsletters, articles, presentations, and multimedia materials.
• Understanding of employee engagement strategies, including the ability to plan and execute initiatives, workshops, surveys, and recognition programs.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with communication tools, intranet platforms, email marketing software, and other digital tools used for internal communication.
• Creative thinking to develop innovative communication strategies and engagement initiatives that capture employees attention and interest.
• Actively listens to others, and shows that he/she understands and values others views
• Adjust communication to the situation/audience
• Able to influence others effectively and appropriately
• Quickly find your feet in a team and a complex organization in order to make things happen and meet tight deadlines.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• 3-4 years of communications experience preferably in a large and fast-paced global organization.
• A bachelor s degree or something equivalent and experience working within a fast paced, challenging organization.
• Proven exemplary written and verbal communication skills, plus experience in storytelling in other mediums such as video or in-person/hybrid events.
• You have demonstrated success within a role, and can explain how you delivered both operationally and strategically – potentially beyond your initial scope
• Organisational skills second to none, and the ability to think big whilst considering all the details, often at the same time
• High intellectual curiosity and a genuine desire to enhance the perception of internal communications and the value it delivers to the business
• English fluency, Dutch or French language skills is a bonus but not essential
