Dentsu’s commitment to technology governance, risk and compliance has accelerated through 2023 to provide greater coverage of our established cyber security risk and assurance processes to all global technology functions. The purpose of this role is to provide maternity leave cover to lead our internal controls assurance function across technology, building on dentsu security’s existing control’s assurance capability and continuing the maturity journey of applying our framework across global technology with an extended set of IT controls.

Developing strong relationships with senior technology leads and control owners will be critical to achieving the successful implementation of our controls testing and audit program and driving agreement for the necessary remediation plans (for hand-off to our technology risk team to manage).

With responsibility for managing our technology and security assurance framework for application across the global enterprise technology function (including regions), this role will report to the Director for Security Governance, Risk and Compliance, as part of our Global Technology GRC team with key stakeholders including dentsu’s group Chief Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer.

What you will be doing

• Supporting the delivery of internal assurance strategic and operational initiatives for global technology, including cyber security.
• Embed a technology-wide internal controls assurance framework, including effective audit methodologies and testing criteria.
• Manage the internal control testing program for JSOX, ISO 27001/2 and dentsu’s key technology and security controls across global technology and in-scope business functions.
• Maintain third party audit relationships for JSOX and other testing programs as required.
• Lead the combined global technology and security assurance team, fostering high standards in performance and ensuring team development is prioritised.
• Partner with senior leadership within technology and supporting functions to drive the reduction in control deficiencies through proactive remediation planning (and continuous engagement with control owners).
• Drive the automation of assurance processes and reporting through the use of the Enterprise GRC platform (Riskonnect) and other available technologies.
• Own and promote quality assurance practices across all internal assurance capabilities through global technology ensuring compliance with the assurance framework for consistent and qualified findings.
• Establish a coordinated technology audit and assessment plan across all lines of defence, acting as the primary point of engagement with internal audit (2LOD) for technology GRC.
• Evolve the annual security capability and maturity assessments through the formalised adoption of internal control assessment output.
• Manage the ongoing identification and implementation of improvements to the internal assurance processes to reflect the changing threat environment and best practice assurance approaches.

What you’ll bring

• Broad information technology and security expertise with detailed knowledge of industry and regulatory control frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST-CSF, JSOX, COBIT).
• A strong technology auditing and risk management background, with experience of applying differing assessment and testing methodologies, combined with data analytics against technical security and IT general controls.
• Experience of building stakeholder relationships in matrixed organisations and gaining buy in and engagement from teams outside immediate reporting lines.
• Demonstrates experience of collaboration, inclusivity, breaking down silos and creating shared visions.
• Proactive problem solver. The ability to analyse problems from multiple perspectives to drive successful outcomes for all stakeholders.
• Comfortable navigating uncertainty, ambiguity, and change in order to make decisions and recommendations.
• Experience of working with a high degree of autonomy, managing own and others’ workload, and delivering to tight timescales
