Are you an experienced Head of Estates professional looking for your next interim opportunity? We are delighted to be working with one of our most long-standing, prestigious, wider public sector clients to appoint an interim Head of Estates for a period of 3 to 6 months.
Primarily based out of their impressive headquarters in East Sussex, you will be responsible to lead on the delivery of key projects across their large estate, which will entail a requirement to travel to neighbouring counties. The core focus of this position will be around planned and reactive maintenance projects, minor works, and refurb and renewal schemes. This role with have a good blend of strategic and operational responsibilities, with a high emphasis on collaboration. Working with other key public sector establishments, you will need to build relationships with senior, like minded professionals in order to get projects and tasks completed.
The successful candidate will have an extensive and demonstrable facilities management experience at a “head of”, “director” or equivalent level, be experienced in managing large multi-site estates as well as exposure to the management and delivery of hard FM contracts. Experience of working within a large, public sector organisation is advantageous but not essential, although experience of working in dynamic environments with multi-cultural teams is. A strong understanding of Health and Safety, and compliance legislation is a must, and strong project management skills with a solution focused approach.
As this role is of an interim capacity, it is essential that you are available to start immediately or at short notice.
