Information Security Coordinator

A telecommunications company based in East London is looking for an Information Security Coordinator to join their team. The Information Security Coordinator will spearhead specific company’s African region security coordination to improve and maintain compliance. You will also support the line manager to promote and improve other customer’s cyber security.

Sucessful candidates for the Informaition Security Coordinator role will be applicants who have experience working with or within countries where the customers have a presence in Africa, and previous experience working in an Information Security role.

Working Conditions: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)

Start date: End of March 2023

Main Responsibilities:

• Communication to manage the security compliance activies below with interested parties.
• Verify client requests conformity to the security standard.
• Regular inventory information asset – ID/Account, Device, Assigned Roles
• Regular check of Device conformance to device security requirement
• Regular security awareness education through emails and Intranet
• Regular check of initial password change
• Regular check of periodic password change
• Registration and de-registration of ID/Account to systems and management ledgers
• Regular check of unauthorised software installed
• Regular check of unauthorised system connected to the network
• Regular check of Corporate Asset Takeout/Return form to confirm prior approval
• Regular check of clear desk policy adherence
• Regular check of BYOD application and conformance to the BYOD policy requirement
• Regular check of Incident Response Plan accuracy
• Documentation of incident response report
• Regular check of inventory of back up success/fail record
• Regular check of End of Support Life, vulnerabilities and patching
• Ad hoc requests from your line manager

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven records in strong communication to manage activities with clients and reporting to the company
• Experience in information security management is desirable but not necessary
• Experience in working with or within the countries where the customer has presence in is necessary ()
• General IT system knowledge Windows AD, AzureAD, Intune, SASE, EDR and Firewall is desirable but not necessary
• Ability to appreciate challenges and to learn fast.
