HVAC Engineer (Gas Bias) required by well-established electrical and mechanical facilities management company based in Sheffield. Salary £35,000-£40,000 depending on skills and experience plus on-call payment and overtime.
We are now looking to recruit an experienced and motivated HVAC Engineer (gas bias) to join the team. Reporting to the FM Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for providing planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites & sectors in the Yorkshire and Midlands area. This will include HVAC assets such as Gas boilers & water heaters, pumps, pressurisation units & expansion vessels.-Air handling units, supply & extract fans, valves & actuators.-DX air conditioning units including VRV/VRF and split systems.
Key Responsibilities:-PPM, fault finding and repair of HVAC equipment and systems.-Compilation of quotes for installation and repairs works; specifically outlining the quantities of materials and labour times required.-Identify non-repairable issues and promptly advise the contract manager of findings and recommendations.-Respond promptly and positively to reactive call requests from our Helpdesk Team.-Provide on-call service as part of a call-out rota.
Personal Specification:-ACS Gas – COCN, CIGA, CORT, CDGA, ICPN, TPCP1, TPCP1A-NVQ or equivalent qualification-FGas Qualification-Full Driving Licence.-Previous HVAC PPM & repair experience.-Ability to maintain and repair a range of HVAC equipment to recognised standards whilst working with minimum supervision.-Ability to use own initiative, working accurately with policies and procedures.-Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines.-Have the ability to work at heights, work in confined spaces if required.-PC literate and good written and verbal communication skills with a customer focus.
