Being a Housekeeper is so much more than cleaning, it’s an opportunity to create a safe environment for your team to provide great healthcare. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the housekeeping team Gateway Recovery Centre in Widnes where you will actively participate in the delivery of the housekeeping service to ensure pre-determined standards of visual biology cleanliness are continually achieved across the hospital site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning designated areas to the highest possible standards
• Working as part of a team but also independently
• To carry out Housekeeping Operations in line with Departmental Procedures
• To use all chemical and machinery in line with Departmental Procedures, Health and Safety Regulations and Manufacturers Instructions.
• To be Pro-Active in helping to further improve our service delivery through liaison’s with the Manager
• To Promote and maintain professional relationships within the department and with customers
• To act as a mentor to newly trained staff when required
• To be supportive as a team member, helping to provide a continued service during staff shortages
• To further improve relations particularly addressing good staff morale and staff retention
• Assist in reviewing industry improvements and research
• To effectively monitor usage of janitorial products and oversee the maintenance of storage areas
