High Value Shipping & Storage Coordinator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, coordinating and managing shipping projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks within the department. This role requires a proactive individual who can work effectively within a team and communicate efficiently with clients and staff.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Maintain and enhance client relationships and expectations through excellent service.
• Work collaboratively within the department to achieve common goals.
• Interact with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings to address their needs.
• Liaise with the head of the department to resolve problems and issues promptly.
• Follow company procedures and processes to maintain consistency and quality.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with all office and warehouse staff to facilitate operations.
• Coordinate and manage projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Arrange shipping and forwarding, customs, and installations according to client requirements.
• Apply for Export Licences and knowledge of CITES.
• Perform all administrative duties and tasks with attention to detail.
• Attend professional and educational courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Promote high standards of professionalism within the team.
• Be flexible to work away from the base and within other departments as needed.
• Answer office phone calls and assist with enquiries, providing helpful and accurate information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in handling high-value freight or logistics
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities – Good Written & Spoken English Essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and shipping documentation.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks and use of office software.
• Flexibility to work in different locations and departments as required.
• Commitment to professional development and maintaining industry standards.

Benefits:

• Annual Salary: £30,000
• Location: Office-based
• Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm)
