HGV Technician NEW

We are looking for an experienced HGV technician to join our independent, busy and well-equipped commercial vehicle workshop in a pleasant rural location to the south of Malvern, Worcestershire. Our dedicated small team specialises in servicing and maintaining Scania, Volvo and DAF trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
– Carry out 6 weekly inspections and routine servicing of all types of HGVs and trailers
– Fault finding and diagnosis using diagnostic equipment (training will be given)
– Prepare vehicles for MOT and carry out all repairs to Ministry standards
– Accurate record keeping and completion of all relevant paperwork
– Collaborate with other team members to enhance workshop efficiency
– Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

– Ideally NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance
– Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
– Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
– Driving licence with a clean driving record. HGV useful not essential

Salary and hours:

£42,000 – £46,000 for 40 hours

Overtime available at time and a half

No shift working.
