Hanwha-Phasor are developing Ku band user terminal solutions for commercial passenger aircraft and military land vehicle. This will have the unique capability to connect to all potential satellite networks. The design must meet the demanding requirements of the military standards and commercial aviation industry, including safety, reliability and through life cost, to be successful.

In addition, successful candidate will also be required to build a world-class operations organisation to support the overall company objectives. This includes the development of appropriate software tools, procedures and processes to efficiently and effectively deliver and support our products to our globally located customers.

Technical responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Prototype Product manufacturing in support of the product development process.
• Lead the New Product Introduction process with Hanwha Phasor’s Contract Manufacturer ensuring a capable manufacturing system is in place in readiness for product launch.
• Work with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure an efficient and effective end-to-end supply chain is established to support the delivery needs of our customers
• Contribute towards the development of a team to manage the end-to-end product fulfilment process including planning, procurement, prototype manufacture, export compliance and industrial engineering.
• Develop and maintain a high standard of record keeping and reporting to ensure full traceability of the supply chain and manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Establish KPIs to track and monitor internal process and supply chain performance.
• Implement and manage the supply side component of Hanwha Phasors Sales and Operational Planning process.
• Identify and initiate appropriate software tools as part of a centralised ERP system.
• Drive a process of continuous improvements in accordance with AS9100 certified quality management system.

Essential qualifications and skills

• Experiencein establishing and managing an efficient, high quality and cost-effective supply chain.
• Experience of LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvements.
• Experience of managing Procurement, New Product Introduction and volume production for complex electronic products within an Aerospace or Military environment
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. Fluency in written and spoken English

• Based in modern, open-plan offices in the vibrant area of Hatton Garden, with great views of the City of London from several spacious balconies with outdoor seating.
• Excellent transport connections: Farringdon, City Thameslink and Kings Cross St Pancras overground stations within walking distance; Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube stations within a five-minute walk.
