Office Angels have partnered with a leading provider of funeral services who are seeking a Head of Grounds Maintenance to support their new site in Doncaster.

This is a varied role & will involve everything from gardening and keeping the site presentable to supporting the Cremator Operator and Admin team during busy times. Role: Head of Grounds Maintenance

Salary & Benefits: £23,000oa plus cost of living bonus (£100 a month), stakeholder pension, performance related bonus, memorial sales commission – package total £25-£29,000pa

Location: Doncaster

Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Start date: Interviews to take place in January 2023 with a view for employment to start in March 2023

Duties:

• Undertake a wide variety of horticultural duties, particularly rose bed maintenance, Maintaining floral displays.

• Carry out maintenance of shrubs, planting, pruning, grass seeding and grass cutting to a high standard.

• General grounds maintenance including laying turf, maintenance and creation or memorial areas, site preparation and construction as necessary.

• To assist with the duties of the chapel attendant, including general cleaning and preparation of the service, accommodation for services and public use.

• Process general enquiries from the general public and directors.

What you will need to succeed:

• Some landscaping / gardening experience

• A high degree of care and understanding is a major requirement in this role. You will be required to deliver exceptional service.

• Have the ability to inter-change with all roles and teams members to assist on the day to day running of the memorial park.

• Good communication skills, self-management, Adaptability, problem solving while maintaining integrity, sensitivity and commitment.

• Machinery operation is desirable but not essential
• Experience in prior Gardening/Landscaping Facility Maintenance Roles Beneficial.
