An opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our global FMCG client has an opening for a hair stylist to be based at their research & development facility in Port Sunlight on the Wirral.

This is a full time, temporary maternity cover for up to 14 months, paying £11.60 per hour, Ideally to start Sept 2023 The role is working 8.30-5pm (7.5 hours, Monday-Friday), however there may be some flexibility with start and finish times.

We are recruiting for a hair stylist to join our team to support the Science & Technology testing programme. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative stylist who enjoys exploring and assessing new products.

Main responsibilities:

• This role will involve evaluating new products to assess their performance, predominantly on mannequin heads.
• After assessing performance of the products, you will be expected to undertake comparison assessments and provide opinion/results of performance by recording and disseminating results.
• Interacting with technical project teams and other team members
• Working to deadlines with autonomy, confidence and self-motivation bringing practical solutions and creative ideas to the team.

Requirements:

• Qualified in NVQ level 2 or 3
• Fully competent in hairdressing
• Be passionate about hair trends, have strong hair product knowledge and be skilled in modern techniques.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong teamworking and interpersonal skills
• Strong IT skills
• Ability to work independently and manage own schedule/work to deadlines.
• Have an inquisitive and creative mind set.
• Happy to work in a laboratory-based environment.
