Group Financial Controller Luxury Clothing Brand London Hybrid £65k-75k

Consumer Additions are currently partnering with a luxury sportswear brand, to look for a Group Controller to join their team in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, develop and manage an Accounts Assistant (AP / GL) and work closely with the AR Assistant for your entities
• Implement appropriate controls and procedures through the finance department and wider business to ensure high-quality accounting and reporting whilst minimizing financial risk
• Detailed gross margin analysis for both historical review and forward planning
• Cashflow management & forecasting across your entities
• Compile weekly and ad hoc payment runs for your entities
• Liaising with the Group External Reporting & Compliance Manager ensuring compliance with all statutory and tax filings, and supporting the audit process(es) in all your entities
• VAT Returns, Corporation Tax Returns & other HMRC reporting
• Check monthly payroll for your entities & liaise with payroll agency for new starters
• Management of company pension schemes for your entities
• Ownership of the month-end close processes
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of entity level reporting
• Calculation & Booking of Online Sales and review of wholesale sales
• Detailed COGS & Stock accounting & analysis to a high level of accuracy
• Logistics. freight & duty analysis
• Monthly balance sheet recs
• Review of Accounts Assistant’s work

Key Requirements:

• ACA / CIMA qualified is essential
• Experience working with tangible product in an ecommerce and/or wholesale driven business is essential
• Financial Controller / Head of Finance experience with strong achievements is desired but may also suit a solid management accountant looking to step up.
• Collaborative approach to working practices across all departments and levels of the business. We are a small company and all departments work well together and support each other.
• Tenacity and desire to question and improve current methodologies
