Global Head of Content – Events £70,000 – £80,000 + 15% Bonus + Excellent Benefits Hybrid Working Global events business seeks an exceptional Global Head of Content to help build their cutting edge conference agendas and identify and attract top level speakers from a broad cross-section of global retail and ecommerce organisations. Key Purpose: Our client is looking for a Global Head of Content Special Projects to help build their conference agendas and identify speakers from a broad, cross-section of global retail and ecommerce organizations. This person will be well-versed in retail trends and technologies across verticals and geographies, enabling them to be a key contributor across their full event portfolio. This person will also play a strategic role in bringing together best practices and learnings across the global content team. They will join a high-profile team reporting into the SVP, Content. Key Responsibilities As Global Head of Content Special Projects, you will be: Researching, analyzing and determining the topics to cover on their agendas to help ensure that their core brands remain at the forefront of thought leadership for the retail & ecommerce industries and continues to be a voice for change and development Writing in-depth descriptions of tracks and sessions. Helping to identify and recruit hundreds of senior-level speakers from large brands and retailers, venture-backed startups, tech companies, investors, consulting firms and more. Joining calls with all speakers and moderators to shape the conversation that will take place at each event, and ensuring each session provides value to their audience. Reviewing and providing feedback on speakers presentations to ensure they provide value to the audience. Interviewing speakers on-stage and delivering remarks/presentations as needed. Helping to shape peer discussion group topics and conversations Helping to manage the execution of peer discussion groups. Serving as a strategic leader by identifying and incorporating best practices across events and geographies. Working with other teams including sponsorship, marketing, design and event logistics to ensure a world-class experience for all event attendees. Pitching in wherever is needed to help create a fantastic experience for speakers and attendees across the portfolio. Skills & Experiences To be successful in this role, you must have/be: Minimum 5 years of work experience – within conference / exhibition content production. Experience in the retail or ecommerce industry at a brand, retailer, startup, consulting firm, research organization, media outlet or other Extremely strong writing skills and attention to detail Ideally degree educated Ability to quickly analyze and distill industry information Confidence communicating with senior leaders at brands and retailers Experience presenting or speaking in front of large groups Intense curiosity about how retail is changing Must be self-motivated, willing to take on new tasks, and adept at multitasking in a fast-changing dynamic environment Lipton Media is a specialist media recruitment agency based in London.
