We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a well-established and growing material handling business to cover the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to work with a wide range of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment while benefiting from a competitive package and excellent career progression opportunities.

The Role As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose faults, carry out planned maintenance and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

This is a field-based position covering a local territory in the North West, allowing you to build strong customer relationships while working independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Attend breakdowns and provide timely repairs.
• Complete service documentation accurately.
• Maintain high levels of customer service.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Manage van stock and company equipment effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working independently in a field-based role.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Relevant engineering qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
