Your role with us
As our Facilities Manager at the Hanslope Park Site, which is based near Milton Keynes, you willhandle all estate operations. With a focus on overseeing the day-to-day operations at the site, yourremit will extend from managing suppliers and optimising the efficiency of these contracts, throughto taking ownership of the relevant budgets and working with the finance team to deliver accuratemonthly reports and forecasts. Seeing to it that all health and safety policies are being adhered to,you will place the safety and wellbeing of all staff working at the site above all else. Managing anumber of outsourced facilities management contracts, we will expect you to ensure that value-for-money is being achieved from these contracts, and that contractual obligations are being met andideally exceeded – so it is essential that you are capable of building great relationships with allservice providers.
You will also ensure that the site infrastructure is being maintained to a high standard, so youropinions on future investments that need to be made will be highly valued. As you will be overseeingthe day-to-day activities of the Assistant Facilities Manager, you will have the chance to developyour own leadership skills.
Who we’re looking for
This role will require a great deal of contact not only with service providers and contractors, but alsowith the tenants of the building. You will therefore have fantastic communication skills, with theability to work collaboratively as part of a high-functioning team. You will be able to make effectivedecisions when under pressure, with the capacity to influence the actions of others. From a practicalpoint of view, you will have experience of facilities management and implementing the associatedlegislation, and you will have a good understanding of how to successfully deliver responsive estateservices. Well-versed in UK health and safety regulatory requirements in relation to the builtenvironment and an operational estate, you will have previously managed service providercontracts. Comfortable handling a budget, you will be capable of delivering financial reports(including RDEL vs CDEL).
