Fabric Inspector required for our leading Sudbury-based client working within their warehouse team to inspect products before being packed for delivery. In your role as Fabric inspector, you will be responsible for having a very key eye for detail as you will be checking all fabrics ensuring if there are any quality or equipment failures these are all reported to the relevant people or where possible repairing these defects. The ideal person for this fabric inspector role will be someone who possesses some inspection, product and/or quality control experience but not essential as full training will be given but if you have passion for fabric and a key for detail ensuring everything is carried out to a high standard this is the role for you!

The Role

• Fully inspect every fabric to ensure no defects, colour differences, size differences to ensure all fabrics meet the required standard
• Provide support for the Inspection aspect of the Warehouse operations
• Repair defects wherever possible and where this is not possible that the defects are appropriately marked and processed in accordance with standard operating procedure.
• Raise any issues that are preventing you from completing work to the required date, so that the outcome can be managed
• Process notes on internal IT database
• Provide support and second opinion to team members
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Prioritising the workload to ensure parcels are available for despatch on time.
• Arranging stocks to ensure efficient picking of pieces

The Person

• Have excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Must be relatively physically fit
• IT literate ideally with database experience
• Ideal if possess experience within Textiles and/or fabrics or have a intertest in them
• Confident with excellent multi-tasking skills
• Ideally have experience of working in an inspection, product and/or quality control environment but not essential
• Take pride in working to a very high standard
• Strong team player as well as the ability to work on own initiative
