About the Team:
This role shall be part of OSTTRA’s Enterprise Architecture team and shall report to the Head of Architecture at OSTTRA. The team is organized as set of portfolios (pillar) aligned Portfolio Architects and Technology Domain Architects roles which are cross OSTTRA in scope e.g., Data (this role), Cloud & DevOps, UI etc. This role shall contribute to the OSTTRA’s data strategy and enable it with the Data and Technology Architecture and design governance which shall be the outcomes individually owned by the Enterprise Data Architect.
Role and Responsibilities:
Will be a key contributor to OSTTRA Data Strategy from technology & architecture point of view. The role will lead and own the definition of OSTTRA Enterprise Data Architecture blueprint. Blueprint will inform the architecture & roadmap for any horizontal and platform level capabilities and those of key business programmes.
The scope of the role covers the front to back of the data architecture patterns including for data acquisition, mastering, data storage & organisation patterns, data processing, data distribution and consumption patterns.
The role will be responsible for articulating & progressing the BI reporting & data visualization patterns across application, business line and enterprise scenarios including MIS & self-service.
This role will establish the technology, tooling and engineering practices needed for the implementation of various data architecture patterns. This would also include the practices related to content/data modelling, data management and data quality.
The role will be responsible for keeping the SME community engaged and energised as part of build out of Data Architecture Strategy and practices.

About You:
Must Haves
A candidate with overall 16-20 years of experience in the IT industry with at least 4-5 years of leadership / independent decision-making experience for a financial services organization(s) in the context of data architecture for large scale data platform or data rich capability builds outs or programme deliveries.
A willingness and expertise to operate at both strategic & big picture level and as well with Delivery teams at the design level of detail.
Experience of articulating & championing the data architecture strategy, data practices, guidelines, and roadmaps for an enterprise from technology, architecture, platform, devops/engg., and data lifecycle management point of view.
Expertise on essential and foundational data management & lifecycle practices including MDM, data / message modelling, data quality management, data engineering practices etc. And, on various implementation patterns across data lifecycle including data acquisition, mastering, data storage & organization patterns, data processing, data distribution and consumption patterns (including LOB/enterprise reporting and self-service visualization)
Technical expertise on common data technologies / approaches including relational databases, NOSQL, Object stores, Data lakes, Warehouses/Marts, ELT/ETL, messaging, streaming, replication, APIs etc. shall be an essential requirement, including cloud native data experience with Google Cloud (GCP).
Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, communication, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation. It is required of this role to pursue a strong collaborative & partnership-based approach across security, infra, compliance/risk and delivery stake holders.

Expertise and experience needed to enable the Analytics & ML ecosystem from Data point of view (but will not be directly accountable for the internals of Analytics & ML stack)
Experience on distributed & decentralized architectures including DLT, blockchain etc.
