Embedded Software Engineer To £70K (DOE) + Bonus + Hybrid Working Hertfordshire We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a number of experienced Software Engineers to join a global leader who specialise in the design and manufacture of high technology products used in the aviation, defence and border security sectors. The Software Engineers will be critical to a new development project for the MOD and will be responsible for the design, software development and maintenance of embedded systems for new products. Key Tasks: Actively contribute to full software development lifecycle from start of project Define software requirements, system architecture and design specifications Develop and implement embedded software for real-time control, data acquisition and communication interfaces Write efficient code in C/C++ Conduct software integration, testing and debugging to ensure system functionality Perform code reviews and resolve defects Provide technical support and expertise to cross functional, internal teamsRequirements: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline Min 2 years post graduate experience in embedded software development for complex systems or machines Experience of working on a real time embedded software project and knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) Strong programming skills in C/C++ Knowledge/experience of embedded software development tools and debugging techniques Understanding of hardware design concepts Excellent problem solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to pass SC Clearance (UK Resident for 5 years) At Morgan Ryder we can provide you with a full range of employment opportunities from short term and fixed term temporary vacancies to permanent positions.
