JOB TITLE: Electrical Modifications Technicians JOB LOCATION: Old Oak Common, Park Royal HOURLY PAY RATE: £35.49 Nights (Umbrella – £84,892) SHIFTS: Minimum of 46 hours a week DURATION: Ongoing contract START DATE: ASAP INDUSTRIES CONSIDERED: REME, Avionics, RAF, Rail, Signalling, Motor Trade, Industrial Electrician, Rolling Stock, Passenger Information Systems, Data Downloaders Position Summary: Shorterm Group require electrical Modification technician’s. You will be responsible for carrying out mods, repair and fault finding on Class 345 Electric Multiple Unit. Undertake all types of modification work to ensure that we provide a safe, reliable, and defect free train. Take responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional workmanship of oneself and others under your control. Duties could include the following: Rewiring Underframe/IP connectors Door interlock switch protection plates (protects it being damaged) Wifi change out – includes fitting and drilling antennas, aerials, data cables and the wifi hub Liaising with reliability engineers and the customer to ensure there is a continuous improvement to fleet reliability Carrying out work recording via both paperwork and computer (SAP) Fitting and re-fitting electrical components Uploading and downloading software data Electrical pinning and de-pinning Detailed electrical wiring Crimping Follow schematics Basic fault finding and fluke meter tests Qualifications / Education required: Electrical Engineer – Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 award in an Electrical discipline or similar.
