77528 This Distribution Centre Supervisor will report to Performance Team Leader and will work within Logistics, Networks Operations based in our Maidstone / Bury St Edmunds office. You will be permanent employee. You will attract a salary of £48,326 per annum (depending on experience) and a bonus of 3%. Job purpose: To be a subject matter expert (SME) for all daily Distribution Centre activities, maintaining adherence to these activities to ensure Customers receive their requirements on time and in full. Dimensions: Staff: No direct reports but will be a contact for all DC / Transport related queries during working hours and will cover for both Distribution Centre and Transport Managers on request or in periods of absence Principal accountabilities: Conduct oneself to promote a positive image of the Logistics function and UK Power Networks in general demonstrating the Vision and Values of the company Take ownership of customer enquiries and concerns originating from the Customer Issue Log, provide efficient feedback and resolution within agreed timeframe targets Utilise an Activity Matrix to plan and complete daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tasks Ensure procedures, process flows and SOPs and maintained Deputise for Performance Team Leaders in periods of absence Complete ad hoc responsibilities as requested by Performance Team Leaders Point of reference / subject matter expert for all Logistics Warehouse operations from receipt of goods to pick completion, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and in full Assist the Performace Team Leader to ensure that operational costs are kept below budget minimising additional spend on overtime, property related damage etc. Ensure high standard of safety, compliance with all HSS and Environmental Policies. Including Help deliver the Logistics / Network Operations Safety Plan with the principle aim of Zero Harm and reducing the likelihood of LTI’s and PIM’s. Complete ICASS inspections following agreed targets. Report incidents through Airline Ensure reporting of any daily issues and suggest application of HR Policies where breaches may occur Help with the upkeep of competency reporting ensuring annual refreshers are completed. Facilitate Logistics Mission Directed Work and conduct goal understanding and 5S reviews following schedule Nature and scope: In context of the Network Operations Continuous Improvement (MDWT Programme), the Manager or (Mini-Business Team Leader), leads and empowers the team to achieve its goals and to attain a sense of purpose. Important responsibilities include: Facilitate the 8 minute MDWT L1 meeting, leads the team to achieve its QSCSP goals. Coach team members to update and apply visual management in the Mini-business. Conduct regular Goal understanding and 5S reviews Manage the warehouse workload using SAP WM Monitor Investigate and resolve issues raised by the DC operatives during the course of normal operations Manage PCM database to control scrap plant movements on site Manage Non Conformity log for all goods in related issues Report and manage any facilities / property related issues Addresses issues that impact on the team; delegates responsibilities to team members to investigate improvement ideas or problems and propose solutions. Lead by applying tools such as 3Qs, 5 Why’s, etc. Take problems and innovations that cannot be solved by the MDWT L1 team to the daily MDWT L2. Gives feedback from the MDWT L2 meeting. ‘Walks the Talk’ regarding our Vision and Values. Frequently relate to these and explains them regarding demonstrated behaviour.
