Join us on the journey with the SSCL Government Architecture team. We’re an integral part of the broader SSCL IT Directorate, entrusted with safeguarding the technology, data, and service architecture that forms the foundation for the SSCL Government, Police, and Resourcing Business.
As a member of a close-knit team of Architects (currently 4), you’ll play a pivotal role. The team is set to grow in the coming months, both in terms of numbers and the breadth of services. Creating a diverse blend of Solution, Security, Data, and Service Architects who collaborate closely with the Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture team.

What you will be doing:

• Creating data models that conform to existing and future standards and conventions.
• Creation and maintenance of data dictionaries, entity / business function and data / application matrices.
• Lead data internal, customer and supplier architects and data engineers to architect and deliver the solutions that fulfil the Business information needs and help define the business information vision and strategy
• Responsible for taking an end-to-end approach by connecting all the pieces and pathways of data which deliver the necessary information, leveraging all available IT assets.

What you will bring:

• Knowledge of database platforms, ETL tools, MDM, query languages, operational data management and model management tools
• Grounding in Oracle and Microsoft databases, ERP, eBusiness HR, Oracle Cloud, Exadata, Data Warehouses
• Practised in developing Enterprise data architecture for organisations with secure holdings.
• Ability to promote and apply relevant tools and technologies where required, or advise on the correct tooling to meet specific requirements or problems
• Familiar with at least one strategic use of cloud based technologies for provision of large scale, secure bulk data holdings
• Knowledge of one of following- ERWIN, Qualiware, Bizzdesign, or Sparx

Would be great if you had:

• Experience of the needs of HR, payroll, pensions and compensation business services for data services and reporting.
• Recent experience as a Data Architect in a medium-large scale organisation
