We are currently recruiting for Composite Fitters for our prestigious aerospace client based in Yeovil, Somerset. If you have worked within the Motor Trade before, we are interested in seeing your CV as perhaps you might have some skills that can be transferable to this position. (You will still need to meet the skills matrix as list further in the advert).Within this position you will need the ability to work in one of the following ‘work centres’:

• Clean Room composite activity including material cutting, ‘laying up’ bagging and processing and the operation of various material processing machines including Desitech,X-Y table and automatic tape layers.
• Autoclave processing
• Detail/assembly pre-treatment techniques including operation of Vapormatt machine.
• Machine tool and roto-peening
• Process baths
• Final assembly detail fitting and caulking
• Press operation and cure cycle monitoring
• Test specimen manufacture
• Detail assembly de-flashing and trimming (fettling activities)
• Post survey repair work including strip and rebuild of main and tail rotor blades
• Support to other skilled disciplines within DCC as workloads and requirements dictate

Qualifications needed:To be considered for these roles, you must be able to provide proof (certificates) of:Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant discipline ANDPre 1990 – City & Guilds level 1 & 2 in an relevant discipline OR Post 1990 NVQ Level 3 in an relevant discipline AND City & Guilds OR BTEC level 3 in relevant disciplineIf your experience is from serving in the forces, then you will need to provide discharge papers which shows your rank to establish if you are classed as skilled or semi skilled.
