Class 2 HGV Drivers

24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for experienced Class 2 HGV drivers on behalf of our client in Reading (RG4).

We require Class 2 HGV Drivers to work on an ongoing basis with some permanent and temp to perm positions available for the right candidates.

Within the role you will:

• Visit Customer sites to deliver and collect work
• Attend daily driver debrief sessions and provide an update on any customer changes and/or added value opportunities
• Act as the last point of call between the client and customers
• Ensure all contact with our customers is honest, polite and helpful at all times.

Class 2 HGV Drivers will need to have:

• A Full clean driving licence (Class C)
• MINIMUM 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN DELIVERY WORK
• Up to date driver CPC card & Digi card
• Experience in delivering or collecting goods
• Knowledge of Drivers hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph compliance
• Experience of carrying out safety checks, vehicle defect reports, time sheets and fuel logs
• Excellent communication skills
• Confidence communicating with customers daily and recording and reporting any customer queries or concerns
• Flexible and able to react quickly to the needs of the customer.

PAY: £15.80/Hr

Please note that the job is of a physical nature, delivering and collecting cages of linen and you will be expected to pass an in house induction/assessment

Full training will be given to the right candidates.

Our client is happy to take new passes on a case by case basis but ideally must have some experience
