Caretaker/Maintenance – Edinburgh area

Do you have experience in Caretaking, Facility Services, working in a Health and Safety environment or helping to manage/maintain the condition of buildings or grounds? If so, I am hiring for a client based in Edinburgh who operate across multi-sites and are now in search of a Caretaker.

Paying £11.00 per hour working flexible daytime hours Monday to Friday, this position would suit someone who is available during school time hours.

You will operate on a Monday to Friday and can be flexible with the days you choose to work. This could look like 3 or 4 days one week and then 5 days the next. They are fully flexible around this.

Ideally you will be a car owner and driver.

Some of the things you will be doing:

• To carry out the general ‘housekeeping’ of the buildings and grounds.
• Support staff to ensure the sites maintain acceptable Health & Safety standards at all times.
• To work with and support staff in the kitchen helping to ensure appropriate levels of cleanliness and order are maintained.
• To manage staff adherence to food hygiene requirements.
• Working with the Operations manager you will be:
  • responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of all buildings ensuring cleanliness and maintenance are delivered to a high standard.
  • Monitor the organisation’s H&S procedures and ensure all building security and fire prevention systems are fully operational, tested, and appropriately maintained.
  • Ensure all building equipment and furniture is maintained and appropriately PAT tested.
• Manage all refuse disposal
• Gardening and maintenance projects.
• Assisting students with any event booking arrangements
